The Adult Sunday School Class welcomes you to join us in enjoying “Sovereignty of God,” a program about how God remains our leader even in chaotic times giving us courage, hope and expectation. This study is rich in imagery and includes Biblical text and pictures by the great masters of art. From Isaiah, we will see God’s reign as a peaceful kingdom, a fountain, a mountain, foundations of the earth and an everlasting covenant. From Hebrews we see God as Jesus, the imprint of God, the owner of a household, the great high priest and the perfecter of our faith. Finally, in the last two chapters of Revelation, John presents a new heaven, a new earth, and a new city of Jerusalem where God reigns forever. “What is” is not “what will be.” Rev. Walter C. Bouzard,   professor at Wartburg College, guides us through these images of God as sovereign so that we can strengthen our present faith and expectation of what will be. Our class proceeds with shared readings and free discussion of the Word in the world today.  Please join us Sunday mornings beginning September 4, 2016, at 8:00 am and Sundays thereafter at 9:00 am, in the Library, for conversation, coffee and fellowship.

September 11th, the Adult Discussion/Growth will be using Eric Metaxas video-based series to discuss his book BONHOEFFER the life and writings of Dietrich Bonhoeffer. This series will help us explore the major themes of Dietrich Bonhoeffer's writing and speaking.  Bonhoeffer not only helped transform an entire faith community in Germany during World War II but his beliefs continue to impact the Christian faith of people throughout the world today. Eric Metaxas is the author of New York Times #1 bestseller and ECPA "Book of the Year," Bonhoeffer Amazing Grace.  We hope you will join us for some exciting and stimulating discussion as we grow in our journey with our God.
