Youth & Family

Youth Committee

We come together to discuss the future of the youth and their families here at Trinity Lutheran. We typically meet once a month to plan out scheduling, service projects, and fun events for the youth and their families.

Youth Group

The Youth Group covers 5th grade through 12th grade.  They meet every Sunday from 6 - 8 PM.  It is a chance to spend time with people your own age and just have a good time with games and devotions.  The devotional time provides a chance to understand how our faith applies to our life outside of the church such as in school or at home. We also have big events for the youth and family.

Service Projects

Service Projects occur monthly and are for all youth and their families. Service projects help to give the youth a practical way to be the hands and feet of Jesus. The Youth Ministry strongly believes that as the Church we’re called to be missionaries of truth no matter how old. The service projects are mostly all done within our own local area. Whether it is handing out Valentines to the elderly or helping out with our local food bank we’re just trying to be more like Jesus, and love others.

Confirmation Class

Classes are offered twice a month at 9AM during our Sunday School time which happens between the two church services. Confirmation is a two year process beginning with students 7th grade. Traditionally students who complete the two year instructional process confirm their faith on Reformation Sunday in October. This is a way to help raise up the youth in the love of Jesus and teach them more about Church history, the Bible, church doctrine, and most importantly about how to live in the grace of God.

First Communion Instruction

An instructional period is offered for young persons in the 3rd grade to learn the special invitation offered by Jesus to come to the table of Holy Communion. These classes are offered during the season of Advent prior to Christmas and during Lent prior to Easter.
